Up a Creek
Pastel on Pastelbord 18x24", matted and framed with non-glare glass, finished size 21x25", walnut contemporary frame.
One summer I went touring some of the waterfalls located in the North State of California, specifically targeting the "Mc Cloud River," which meandered throughout the area. There were falls all along the river ranging in size from small to large and each one was beautiful and unique. This painting was done in the area of the upper falls, it's a study of a tributary that feeds into the Mc Cloud. I likened it to a small study of the creek and rocks and how the water moved in and around them, capturing a brief moment in the creek's life.
